I Did Everything Right - And It Still Went Wrong!
This presentation, utilizing a special approach of combining lecture with participant interaction, is a case study that highlights how a buyer can do everything absolutely right in planning, administering, working with a Contractor and all interested parties to a contract, documenting the entire process, preparing for arbitration and/or litigation, involving legal counsel - and still not avoid the pitfalls inherent in bids. Participants in this interactive case study will hear the good, the bad and the ugly of this project. They will learn what should always be done, what can happen even if they are correctly, positively and proactively administering a project, and what they might do in the future when they are faced with a "bad" contractor.
