I’m excited to be your President for the 2007 – 2008 Season.  Your Board has met and mapped out our goals:

• Provide an outstanding collection of educational and other career enhancement offerings.
• Qualify for the ISM Affiliate Excellence Award.
• Finish the process of changing our affiliate’s legal name from NAPM Los Angeles, Inc. to Institute for Supply Management Los Angeles, Inc. ISM has made this a very complicated process, but we have committed to complete it before June of 2008.
• Continue to promote professional Supply Management certification: CPM and the new CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management).
• Remember, if you do not have a four-year degree you are running out of time to attain your CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification. You must be a college graduate to attain CPSM certification.

As we achieve these goals I am confident that you will feel compelled to renew your membership prior to December 31, 2007, and encourage your non-member friends and colleagues to see what we are all about. A fun way to introduce people to ISM’s Los Angeles affiliate is to invite them to participate in our 18th Annual Golf Tournament scheduled for October 22, 2007. We are always looking for players and corporate sponsors.
